2023

My poetry collection A Year of Seasons was runner up for the Kathleen Grattan Award, announced 27th November.

The award is for an unpublished book-length collection and Judge Anne Kennedy (whom I admire greatly!) said of the three runners up, “each impressed me for their scope, vision and originality.” I am thrilled! (And looking to publish A Year of Seasons in 2024.)

I was invited to read at the launch of Grace Yee’s amazing debut Chinese Fish, 9th August.

2012

My poem At Midland Park was part of the Eat Your Words: Wellington Cafe Poems competition and publication.

I received funding from Creative New Zealand to complete my second collection of poetry.
